Admissions Information

Emmanuel Christian School is not just a private school, but an inherently Christian school that partners with families who desire Christian education for their children.

Emmanuel Christian School admits students without regard to race, color, national and ethnic origin or disability to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. Emmanuel Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin or disability in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and other school-administered programs.

To obtain admission, the parent must submit an enrollment application and fee. Then, a parent interview is held with two of our ECS Board members to confirm that the education we offer is indeed what you, the parent, are seeking. Upon acceptance by the board members, the enrollment is completed by the signing of a financial agreement and paying the registration fee.

Philosophy of Education

Emmanuel Christian School holds the historic Christian view of life as presented in the Bible. Since God created and sustains everything through His Son, Jesus Christ, the world and life are God-centered and should glorify Him. Man being a sinner by nature and choice, however, cannot in this condition glorify or know God. He can do this only by being recreated in God's image through committing his life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The total process of education, therefore, must seek this restoration of the student to the position of true knowledge, righteousness and holiness in Christ by developing and relating the whole person to God spiritually, mentally, socially and physically. It must present all truth as God's truth and must interpret it by and integrate it with God's Word. Such education is primarily the parent's responsibility, and the school should function as an extension of the home to aid the parents in the education of their child.

Statement of Faith

Emmanuel Christian School holds and teaches the essential doctrines of the Christian faith as embraced by the Biblical, baptistic position.

We believe:

...that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and practice. The Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of Salvation and God's plan and purpose in the ages.

...that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

...in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His crucifixion, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His future return for His people.

...in the salvation of the lost through belief in Christ Jesus, God's only begotten Son, who shed His blood on the cross in atonement for our sins, and for our eternal salvation.

...that Salvation is by "Grace," and that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

...in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.

...in the bodily resurrection of the dead both the just and unjust, and eternal punishment in hell of the unsaved and eternal joy in heaven of the saved.

...in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

...marriage, as sanctioned by God in the Bible, joins one man and one woman in an exclusive union. We affirm the Biblical principles relating to marriage and sexuality as detailed in the ECS Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality.

ECS Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen. 1:26-27) Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen. 2:18-25) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Cor 6:18, 7:2-5, Heb. 13:4) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt. 15:18-20, 1 Cor 6:9-10)

We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of Emmanuel Christian School in our partnership with the local body of Christ, and in order to provide a biblical role model to the Emmanuel Christian School members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by Emmanuel Christian School in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers in any capacity, agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. (Matt 5:16, Philippians 2:14-16, 1 Thess 5:22)

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21, Rom 10:9-10, 1 Cor 6:9-11)

We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31, Luke 6:31) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Emmanuel Christian School.
