Expectations
Emmanuel Christian School seeks to meet the developmental needs of children ages 3-5. "Play" is the work of children. Playtime is a valuable time to learn and practice social skills. Our goal is to help children learn to get along with each other, develop listening skills and be able to follow directions. We work on gross motor skills during active play and fine motor skills with the use of manipulatives in classroom centers as well as during daily art projects.
The 3-year-old program will hear Bible stories and verses during their time at school, while the 4-year-old program uses Child Evangelism as the Bible curriculum. It focuses on the truths of the Bible beginning with Creation and continuing on chronologically through Scripture to the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Biblical character qualities are also emphasized in both the 3- and 4-year-old Pre-K classes during daily lessons and interaction in the classroom.
